Pickaxes & Mining
Make longer mining sessions and gather extra ore with six crafted pickaxes. The benefits are the same on Rookgaard and mainland; the recipes differ.
More mining from each click
Craft a pickaxe in Accessories at a crafting station on Rookgaard or mainland. A better pickaxe increases the number of mining attempts started by one click and gives a chance of an extra ore on a successful extraction.
These are repeated attempts, not guaranteed ore. Mining skill, the node's chance and depletion still apply. The session can end early if mining conditions stop being valid.

The ordinary pickaxe performs one attempt. Magic Pickaxe is not included in these crafting recipes.
Pickaxe recipes
These recipes have no extra gold fee. On Rook, the listed materials cost 50% less; the Rune Pickaxe still requires one whole Shining Pickaxe.

Find the right ore
A higher-tier pickaxe does not bypass mining skill requirements. The resource you want for Rune Pickaxe crafting is rune ore, mined from rune ore nodes at mining skill 60.
