Charms & Crafting
Build a small set of bonuses for your character. Craft your charms, choose three different types and improve them with your existing upgrade crystals.
Equip three different charms
Click the charm pouch icon above your backpack in the inventory panel to open or close the pouch. The command !charms also opens it.
The pouch accepts only the ten charm types listed below. Equip up to three different charms; duplicate copies do not stack. A charm in a normal backpack grants no bonus.
Bonuses depend on rarity and upgrade power, with fixed caps. They do not grow with character level.
Charm bonuses
| Charm | Bonus | Common +0 | Legendary +3 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ember Charm | fire resistance | +0.5% | +2.6% |
| Frost Charm | ice resistance | +0.5% | +2.6% |
| Grove Charm | earth resistance | +0.5% | +2.6% |
| Storm Charm | energy resistance | +0.5% | +2.6% |
| Stone Charm | physical resistance | +0.5% | +2.6% |
| Warrior Charm | melee skill | +1 | +5 |
| Ranger Charm | distance skill | +1 | +5 |
| Guardian Charm | shielding | +1 | +5 |
| Arcanist Charm | magic level | +1 | +3 |
| Vitality Charm | maximum health | +10 | +55 |
The maximum column includes both Legendary rarity and +3 power. Resistance charms each protect against their named damage type.
Craft your first charms
At a crafting station, open Accessories. Charms are available on both Rookgaard and mainland, and each recipe makes one Common +0 charm.
Every recipe needs 100 gold bars + 75 mithril bars, plus all materials shown below. The gold fee is separate from the bars.
| Charm | Extra materials (plus shared bars) | Mainland gold | Rook gold |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ember Charm | 25 crystal fossils + 100 small rubies | 500,000 | 250,000 |
| Frost Charm | 25 crystal fossils + 100 small sapphires | 500,000 | 250,000 |
| Grove Charm | 25 crystal fossils + 100 small emeralds | 500,000 | 250,000 |
| Storm Charm | 25 crystal fossils + 100 small amethysts | 500,000 | 250,000 |
| Stone Charm | 25 crystal fossils + 100 black pearls | 500,000 | 250,000 |
| Warrior Charm | 25 crystal fossils + 100 talons + 50 adamant bars | 750,000 | 375,000 |
| Ranger Charm | 25 crystal fossils + 100 small emeralds + 50 adamant bars | 750,000 | 375,000 |
| Guardian Charm | 25 crystal fossils + 100 white pearls + 50 adamant bars | 750,000 | 375,000 |
| Arcanist Charm | 50 crystal fossils + 100 small amethysts + 50 rune bars | 1,000,000 | 500,000 |
| Vitality Charm | 50 crystal fossils + 100 small rubies + 100 white pearls + 50 rune bars | 1,000,000 | 500,000 |
Rook pays 50% less gold for charms. Charm materials stay the same. The separate pickaxe recipes use half the mainland materials on Rook.
Rarity and power upgrades
Place the charm and crystal in your backpack, then use the crystal on the charm. The rarity upgrade crystal raises Common → Rare → Epic → Legendary. The upgrade crystal raises power from +0 to +3.
| Crystal | Upgrade | Success chance |
|---|---|---|
| Rarity upgrade crystal | Common → Rare | 75% |
| Rarity upgrade crystal | Rare → Epic | 45% |
| Rarity upgrade crystal | Epic → Legendary | 10% |
| Upgrade crystal | +0 → +1 | 90% |
| Upgrade crystal | +1 → +2 | 70% |
| Upgrade crystal | +2 → +3 | 45% |
Each attempt consumes one crystal. On failure the charm is safe and keeps its current level; the next attempt on that upgrade track gains 2 percentage points of success chance, capped at 100%. A successful upgrade resets that track's failure bonus.
How rarity and power affect each bonus
- Resistance: Common / Rare / Epic / Legendary gives 0.5 / 1 / 1.5 / 2%, plus 0.2% per power level.
- Melee, distance and shielding: rarity gives +1 / +2 / +3 / +4, with one extra skill at power +3.
- Magic level: +1 initially, one extra at Legendary, and one extra at power +3.
- Maximum health: rarity gives +10 / +20 / +30 / +40, plus 5 HP per power level.
